Book Review | Republican Party Animal by David Cole

David Cole is an atheist Jew who had done a great deal of research into the Holocaust in his younger years. He initially started researching ideologues and came across the subject of Holocaust revisionism and decided to investigate claims being made about the subject. This led him to some very in depth analysis, including trips to Europe to investigate the crime scenes. His views regarding the Holocaust are documented in his newly released book, Republican Party Animal: The “Bad Boy of Holocaust History” Blows the Lid Off Hollywood’s Secret Right-Wing Underground, which I just read and highly recommend. David does not claim that the Holocaust did not happen. He is simply claiming that a lot of the “mainstream” history we’ve grown up learning about the Holocaust is false and should be further investigated.

David is a self admitted Zionist, and is not a conspiracy theorist, which he makes very clear in his book. David tells his life story of how he got into Holocaust revisionism and how it led to national appearances on TV shows like Montel Williams and Phil Donahue. Eventually David changed his last name to Stein after the Jewish Defense League, an extremist terrorist group, put a $25,000 bounty on his head. The bulk of the book is about David’s life after leaving Holocaust revisionism as David Stein due to his life being threatened, and just being burnt out trying to convince others of the historical inaccuracies with little to moderate success due to the taboo nature of the subject. It’s an honest and often very humorous biography of Dave’s involvement in the Hollywood conservative club, Friends of Abe, and the creation of the Republican Party Animals, which David successfully ran until he was outed as a Holocaust revisionist by an ex-girlfriend in 2013. Needless to say, most of David’s closest “friends” within the groups abandoned him and he was banned from the Friends of Abe for his historical research into a very taboo subject in his younger years.

Below are some of David Cole’s interviews, his Auschwitz documentary and a link to his new book, all of which I highly recommend.
